Free pitch deck review · for startup founders

What investors will ask about your deck. Before the meeting.

pitchera reads your deck the way an investor does: quickly, looking for reasons to say no. Upload the PDF; in about 15 minutes you know which questions each slide will raise and what to fix first.

“I built pitchera from the questions investors asked me when I was raising money for my own startups.” Wojciech Buła, PhD, EMBAScientist & Deep Tech FounderHAX / SOSV alumnus

Why the deck is not the problem

Nobody gets turned down for an ugly slide. They get turned down for the slide that is not there.

A polished deck answers the questions you thought of. The investor asks the ones you did not: what one customer costs you, which pilot never paid, the competitor you left off the page. That is where startups get sunk, and it is what pitchera looks for first.

Three reports. The first is free and tells you what investors will ask. The next two help you fix the deck and prepare for the meeting.

Question 3 of 10 · Financials

“What does one customer cost you to win, and when does it pay back?”

What they are really checking

Whether you know your own numbers, or only the ones on the slide. This answer decides the meeting.

How to answer

The number and its source first, then the payback, then what is changing it. Then stop.

Answers that end the meeting

  • “We are not focused on unit economics at this stage.”
  • Any number that starts with “industry benchmarks say”.

From the decks we have reviewed

Questions

Before you upload.

How does the AI analysis work?

We use a multi-pass Claude AI pipeline that evaluates your deck across 10 VC-standard dimensions - narrative clarity, market opportunity, team credibility, financials, and more. Each pass goes deeper, from high-level scoring to slide-by-slide feedback.

Is my pitch deck confidential?

Yes. Your deck is encrypted in transit and at rest and never shared with third parties. A free review is deleted automatically after 60 days. For a paid analysis the uploaded deck is deleted 180 days after the report is generated, and the report stays available to you until you delete it. Your data is never used to train AI models. Read the privacy policy →

Do you track me on this website?

We use privacy-first analytics to understand aggregate visits, referrers, and campaign performance. Marketing analytics stays separate from your product data: submitted decks, briefing answers, reports, and founder/company details are never sold, used for ad targeting, or used to train AI models.

What file formats do you accept?

PDF files up to 50 MB. We don't accept PowerPoint or Keynote - every presentation tool has File → Export → PDF, and PDF is what you'd send to an investor anyway. PDF parsing is deterministic; PPT/Key parsing has too many edge cases (embedded fonts, master-slide weirdness, video objects). Export, then upload.

How long does it take?

The free review arrives about 15 minutes after you confirm your email. Deep Analysis takes around 15 minutes and the VC-Ready Audit about 25 minutes after payment. You get an email when your report is ready.

What if my deck scores low?

That's exactly the point - better to know before you send it to investors. Every report includes specific, actionable fixes ranked by impact. Many founders improve their score by 20+ points after one round of revisions.

Why not just upload my deck to ChatGPT or Claude directly?

You absolutely can - GPT-4o and Claude both have multimodal vision and can give useful feedback. The difference is structure and consistency. An LLM gives you different advice every time, requires careful prompt engineering, and outputs a chat transcript. Pitchera runs a structured 7-pass pipeline every time: 10-dimension scoring against internal investor-readiness reference profiles, visual analysis of every slide, BSA framework for investor objection prep, and a shareable PDF report. Think of it as the difference between asking a friend who works in VC vs hiring a systematic due diligence process.

What is BSA (Business Situational Awareness)?

BSA is our proprietary framework that measures how deeply a founder understands their own business (KYB), their customer (KYC), and their competitive environment (KYE). The BSA analysis generates the hardest questions investors will ask, non-obvious risk factors, and potential black swan events specific to your startup. Available in Deep Analysis and VC-Ready Audit tiers.

What is the Free Assessment?

The Free Assessment is a comprehensive startup validation briefing (BSA - Business Startup Assessment) that maps what you know about your business, customer, and competitive environment. You get an instant AI report with a BSA Score (0-100), KYB/KYC/KYE subscores, top risks, strengths, and a 30-day action plan. No deck required, no sign-up needed. When you later upload your pitch deck for paid analysis, we cross-reference your briefing answers with your deck content - revealing gaps between what you know and what you communicate to investors.

How do you handle AI hallucinations?

Every claim in the analysis is tagged by source: From Deck (verbatim from your slides), Founder-Provided (from your briefing), Public Knowledge, or AI Interpretation (investor-style reasoning generated from context). A separate fact-check pass cross-references the analysis against the original slide text and rewrites fabricated metrics, invented people, and unsupported claims. Then a source-grounding pass labels each section as Mostly Deck-Grounded, Deck + Interpretation, or More Interpretive so you know what you can quote verbatim vs what to verify. Read the full anti-hallucination methodology →

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. Every paid report has a 14-day money-back guarantee: ask for a full refund within 14 days of delivery, for any reason. It covers reports paid for individually on pitchera.ai, once per email address. Read the guarantee in the Terms →
